Adrian Lai is the CEO of Liquefy and manages the overall operations and resources of Liquefy. He is an angel investor in FinTech startups with specific interest in AR, VR, blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Outside of work, Adrian is a trainer for the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute on security tokens, blockchain technology and digital asset courses. Meanwhile, he is a guest lecturer for Ivey School of Business MBA program. He is also a fintech committee member of Invotech, a do-tank (not just a think-tank) dedicated to promote and support positive changes in Hong Kong through innovation and technology. Meanwhile, Adrian is a columnist at SCMP and Jumpstart media on blockchain technology; he has been interviewee / commentator for Wall Street Journal, CNN, Forbes and Bloomberg Businessweek.
Before being an entrepreneur, Adrian worked at BlackRock for 3+ years. His last role at BlackRock was an ESG analyst where he worked with chairmen and board members from 100+ listed companies across Asia on issues such as corporate governance, corporate actions (e.g. M&A), cybersecurity and climate change risk. Adrian also worked at Marketing Team where he coordinated and delivered marketing strategies for retail and private bank clients.
